Fred Davie on President Obama's Policy Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnersips

 

Fred Davie, a former program officer at the Ford Foundation, will serve on President Barack Obama's Policy Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Fred has a Masters Degree in Divinity from Yale. He is currently president of Public/Private Ventures, a national leader in creating and strengthening programs that improve lives in low-income communities. Prior to coming to the Foundation, Fred was a special assistant to the president of the New York Board of Education; later chief of staff to the deputy mayor for community and public affairs; and then the deputy borough president of Manhattan.
