How to …

If you are new to blogging, here is a brief introduction to getting started. There are two ways to write: comments and posts.

A comment may be added by anyone at any time. A comment is entered by clicking a link under a post. Depending if others have commented previously, the link will say No Comments or 1 Comment or however many comments have been written. Click the Comment link. If you have not logged in, you will need to enter a Name and e-mail address. Type your comment in the large textbox, and click Submit Comment. Then click Members’ Blog or The LAFF Society on top to return to the main screen. If you had previously logged in, then the process will be the same except you will not need to provide your name and e-mail address.

To write a post it is necessary to be registered and to log in. Contact the treasurer if you would like to register to write posts, and you will get a password. Once you have a password, click the Login link under Meta. After logging in, you should be on the Dashboard. (To get to the Dashboard at other times–after having logged in–click Site Admin under Meta.) Click Write a New Post in the red banner. Enter the Title, enter your Post, check the Members’ Blog category, and click the Publish button on the right side. Your post should become visible; click View Site.

Happy blogging!
