Brent Ashabranner’s Service at Arlington National Cemetery

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 9 at Arlington National Cemetery for Brent Ashabranner, a United States Navy veteran who worked for several decades in international development, including as deputy representative for the Ford Foundation in the Philippines and Indonesia from 1972 to 1980.

The service will be at 1 at the cemetery, which is just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. Visitors must be at the Administration Building 45 minutes before the service, and not before that. The procession will begin at the building and proceed to the Columbarium.

Details on the regulations governing services at the cemetery are available at arlingtoncemetery.mil, along with a video, “Official Guide to Funeral Services”, which explains the precise rules that must be followed.

Mr. Ashabranner died December 1 in Williamsburg, Va., and his obituary was published in the Winter 2017 issue of the LAFF newsletter.
