The LAFF Society is an unofficial, volunteer-led association of men and women who have spent some phase of their careers working for the Ford Foundation, one of the largest, most prominent and professionally-staffed foundations in the United States. Founded in 1991, LAFF nurtures connections among the extraordinary group of individuals who have had the privilege of working for the Ford Foundation and who share the values it embodies. (See About Us)

LAFF facilitates connections among its members and between them and the Foundation through:

  • Quarterly newsletters with news by and about former Ford staffers and current program interests.
  • This interactive website and blog.
  • An electronically accessible (and protected) directory.
  • Local chapters in the United States and abroad
  • Thematic chapters engaging LAFF members and current Foundation staff who share common program interests.
  • Periodic reunions.
